Our well-being baby scan is the foundation of all our packages from 15 weeks onward. This traditional 2D scan can be performed at any point in your pregnancy after your initial NHS appointment. The well-being scan focuses on your baby's development, allowing us to check growth measurements, foetal movement, and weight estimates. We also assess the placenta's position, and the volume of amniotic fluid, provide an audible heartbeat trace, and identify your baby's position.
A well-being scan is ideal for mums who may feel something isn’t quite right and seek professional reassurance that everything is going well. It offers nearly instant peace of mind and is much quicker to arrange than an NHS scan, which is typically only available at 12 and 20 weeks. Our comprehensive well-being checks for you and your baby provide the information you need to take any necessary actions or simply enjoy the reassurance that everything is on track. It also gives you another chance to bond with your baby.
All of our scans are transabdominal, meaning they are non-invasive, unlike the transvaginal scans sometimes performed in hospitals. Our handheld scanner gently glides over your abdomen with the help of a lubricating gel, ensuring good contact so our sonographer can capture the best possible ultrasound images of your baby and check everything needed.
It’s important to drink plenty of fluids (about 1 litre) before your appointment to ensure the ultrasound works effectively. Transabdominal scans are completely safe and pain-free, allowing you to relax and bond with your baby during the process.
Lovely place, Nathan made me feel really comfortable during the scan, very friendly and helpful. Was amazing to see and find out what me and my husband are having for our child and would highly recommend.
Myself and my husband wanted to book a gender scan, and after seeing all the good reviews Numi Scan had we felt like it was the right one to go for. We were not disappointed with our choice, the premises is nice and clean, and Nathan was really personable.
Amazing! I’ve had 5 scans at Numi scan; an early pregnancy reassurance scan, 3 well being scans, and a super star 4D baby scan. Nathan is amazing every single time, the reassurance he’s given me throughout my pregnancy has been an absolute godsend.
The value of a private well-being scan depends entirely on your own individual circumstances. There are various reasons why you might consider having one, you might feel that something isn’t quite right, have been unwell, are experiencing general anxiety, or have health or lifestyle factors that warrant closer monitoring of your pregnancy
4D Ultrasound represents the latest advancement in ultrasound technology, introducing the dimension of time to the imaging process. This allows you to view your baby’s movements in real time. By capturing multiple 3D images, we create live-action visuals of your baby, giving you a dynamic glimpse of their activity
3D Ultrasound involves the complex layering of various 2D images and data collected by the sonographer. Using our advanced ultrasound equipment, these layers are compiled into a 3D image that resembles a regular photograph, offering a more detailed view compared to traditional 2D scans. With 3D scans, you can see your baby’s face and features, provided they are at a suitable stage of development
If your baby’s position is not ideal for a clear scan, we offer 1 complimentary re-scan within two weeks of your initial appointment (Monday to Friday), ensuring you get the best possible images
